Cozy mystery new releases for August! As you may have noticed, this month’s list is much shorter than previous months. The main reason for this is because I’ve changed up the way I put this list together. I used to rely on Amazon and would spent hours going through all the new releases. But lately I’ve noticed that Amazon was FILLED with AI-generated books. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out which were legitimate books and which were just AI-authored, which I refused to promote.

So starting this month I’m only including books I see on Netgalley, books promoted by their authors/publishers in newsletters and on Instagram, OR books an author emails or DMs me about.

If you have a book coming out and would like to be included just reach out to me on social media (@bookfrolic on Instagram or Bluesky is best) or via email at stephanie@bookfrolic.com. So while this list is MUCH shorter and I will probably leave out many great books, it saves me a lot more time doing things this way, so I hope you’ll understand. If you spot any cozy mysteries that were left out of my list, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll add it to the post.
