Holly Danvers, who also writes under the names Holly Quinn and Sherry Lynn, joins us today for The Cozy 52 interview! WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START WRITING? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WRITE COZY MYSTERIES?

My love of reading mysteries inspired me try my hand at writing one. My agent encouraged the genre. I sent her a different book that didn’t quite fit, and she suggested I give it a go because she said I have the voice for cozy. The rest is history!

I have three distinct series that I love for different reasons. I love the S.H.E. gang of the Handcrafted Mystery series, and the family dynamic. I love the location of the Lakeside Library series and the Mainely Murder (releasing April, 2023) was inspired by my aunts house on the coast and my love of gardening

WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE LOVE TO READ COZY MYSTERIES?

Escape and solving the puzzle

ASIDE FROM BEING AN AUTHOR, ARE YOU INVOLVED IN THE COZY COMMUNITY IN ANY OTHER WAY?

I have three author FB pages, it’s a lot to juggle social media now with all these names!

WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE WRITERS?

Oh, that’s not fair! I have sooo many!!

IF YOU WERE MAROONED ON A DESERTED ISLAND, WHAT 3 BOOKS WOULD YOU WANT WITH YOU?

My bible, a blank notebook to write a novel, and oh…I can’t choose! LOL! Let’s just say a loaded Kindle.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PROJECTS COMING UP THAT YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE WITH US?

My latest author’s name (haha!) Sherry Lynn along with Berkley Publishing Digging Up Daisy April 2023 and Murder Under the Mistletoe. I’m hoping readers enjoy this new series set on the coast of Maine. I’m also excited about Read to Death at the Lakeside Library #3 releasing this summer. It was the most challenging book to write and so far, early reviews are positive!
