Monthly recap: July 2020

It feels like just yesterday that I was writing the recap for June and now I have to do one for July? What the heck? Was it just me or did this past month go by way too quickly? Even in the midst of a pandemic, the summer months still feel shorter than any other time of the year.

But, I am happy to report that I did manage to find time to do some blogging and it was great to get back to it. I really do find it relaxing and fun and am vowing to make more time for it. These past few months I have been working A LOT and I haven’t been feeling so great. My work-life balance is really off and I’m going to try and “re-balance” in August. More reading, more blogging, better time management. If anyone has any tips – please let me know!

Another thing that has me excited is my Netgalley ratio is almost at 100%! I never thought that would happen and it’s taken a lot of discipline to get here. LOL. I know there’s no special reward for hitting perfection, but I just want to know that I’ve done it at least once. I’m going to hit 100% and then go on a requesting spree and absolutely WRECK that ratio! Mwahaha!

I managed to read more books this past month than I have in while, so that was really nice. All in all, it was a good balance of books and audiobooks. As I mentioned in my June recap, I raised my Reading Goal for 2020 from 50 to 100 and I’m optimistic that I’ll be able to meet that goal by the end of the year!

Here’s what I read in July:

And here are the books I listened to in July:

  • 2020 GoodReads Challenge: 59/50
  • #AToZCozy2020 Reading Challenge: 12/26

Considering I only had ONE blog post in June, I felt that I bounced back pretty nicely in July. I hope to keep this up for August!

And that’s it for July! Let me know what you’ve been up to – I really want to hear from you! Stay safe and stay kind!
