52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks

book frolic 52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks

You know how some people are all about Numbers and others are definitely better at Words? I like to think that I’m pretty good at both (I majored in both Economics and Philosophy in university) but then, I do really funny things with numbers that completely convince me I’m definitely not a Numbers person.

Like this… Last year I set a goal of reading 100 books in a year. I missed the mark by about 40 books (to be fair, I did launch my own business, which took up a lot of time!) so this year, I set a more realistic goal of reading 60 books in 2019.

Then I had this FANTASTIC idea to review 52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks. Which I started planning out… until I realized that it would take up pretty much my entire reading goal for the year. Knowing my reading style, I’m definitely not only going to read cozy mysteries all year… so… I think I may have bit off more than I can chew but well, we’ll see how this goes, right?

Anyhooooo… below is the list of the cozy mysteries I’ve read towards this goal which will be updated as the year progresses (as you can see, I’m already behind schedule!!!) The list will (hopefully) grow as the year continues until I hit 52 and each title will link to my reviews here on the blog.

I have about 25 books already bookmarked for this but I obviously need more titles so feel free to send me your recommendations!

Thanks Lainy! (I’ve added your blog to my Blog Reader!)

I never knew they were called “cozy” mysteries either until a couple of years ago, but I grew up loving them. Mysteries like Agatha Christie, The Cat Who books, etc… you may have read a cozy and not even know it!

Hi, I’m new to the whole book blogging scene. I am an indie writer of Derbyshire based crime thrillers. I’d love to know your thoughts on my books as I am about to publish the 4th in the series.

  4. Nice challenge, but a bit tough maybe? too many books and all of the same genre? do you accept suggestions?

    1. Stephanie says:

LOL. It seemed ok when I decided to do it but now that I’m a few books behind… yeah, not sure if I set the bar too high! We’ll find out! And yes, I totally accept suggestions!
