Monthly recap: October 2020

If you’ve bene following my blog, then you’ll know that it’s been pretty quiet here on book frolic. Not that I haven’t been busy – I’ve been SUPER busy. So busy, in fact, that I haven’t had time to blog. I’m a bit behind on reviews and author interviews, so I’m hoping to catch up over the next couple of months and then set a better blogging schedule for 2021 (yes, I’m already making plans for the new year!

As part of my new, ‘balanced’ life, I’ve been trying to set aside 30 minutes a day to just sit down and read. I’ve only been doing this for the past two weeks or so, but I’ve already noticed a difference. I’m actually looking forward to this ‘mandatory’ reading time every day and have found my entire daily schedule seems a bit better.

As I mentioned above, I’ve been setting aside some time to read every day and it’s definitely showing in terms of how many books I’ve managed to read in October! I’m still doing a bunch of books via audiobook, but the physical book count this past month also increased visibly!

I’m also celebrating the fact that I HIT MY 100 BOOKS READ ON GOODREADS! When I started 2020, I had set my goal at 50 books because that’s the number I usually read every year (and some years I struggle to hit 50). But when I hit 50 earlier this year, I decided to increase my goal to 100 just to see if I could

Of course, now I just have two months left to finish my #AToZCozy2020 Reading Challenge – I’d better get hustling!

Here’s what I read in October:

And here are the books I listened to in October:

  • 2020 GoodReads Challenge: 102/100
  • #AToZCozy2020 Reading Challenge: 15/26

I only blogged once in October (yikes) – I definitely need to make more time to write out all the reviews I have backed up!

Obviously, my goals for November are to keep up with my daily reading habit and try to blog more often. I definitely need to get things back on track before the holidays hit and things get crazy again.

What do you have planned for November? Let me know what you’ve been up to – I really want to hear from you! Stay safe and stay kind!
